What Is a Fluorine-Lined Valve?
A fluorine-lined valve (also called PTFE lined valve or fluoropolymer lined valve) is an industrial valve with its wetted surfaces fully lined with fluoropolymer materials such as PTFE (Teflon), PFA, FEP, or ETFE. The valve body is typically made of cast carbon steel (WCB) or stainless steel, with a thick internal lining of fluoropolymer that provides exceptional chemical resistance.
Fluorine-lined valves are essential in chemical processing plants where the process media is highly corrosive — including hydrochloric acid (HCl), sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄), nitric acid (HNO₃), hydrofluoric acid (HF), chlorine gas (Cl₂), bromine, hypochlorite, and caustic soda (NaOH). The fluoropolymer lining is chemically inert to almost all industrial chemicals and has a wide operating temperature range.
✅ TANGGONG VALVE GROUP has manufactured fluorine-lined valves since 1990 at our facility in Wenzhou, China. Every lined valve undergoes high-voltage spark testing to ensure lining integrity. We offer PTFE, PFA, FEP, and ETFE lining options to match your specific chemical application.
